Blue Spirulina

Blue spirulina is a pigment derived from an algae found in the sea. It is naturally rich in antioxidants and high in protein. It is specifically high in iron and B vitamins. B vitamins are water-soluble & contain a plethora of different types; however, they all share the common function of acting as coenzymes. Coenzymes help enzymes carry out functions in the body. Iron, on the other hand, is crucial for maintaining healthy red blood cells.

Hemp Seed

Hemp Seed is a complete source of protein. What this means is that it contains all 9 essential amino acids (the amino acids your body cannot produce on its own). This is so important because it helps fully replenish your muscles. Hemp seed is also a great source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These help us balance inflammation levels, maintain healthy skin cells, nerves, and cell membranes.

Flax Seed

Flax seed is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3s are anti-inflammatory, while omega-6s are pro-inflammatory. Although it is important to have a balance of each, many Americans have too high of omega-6 levels in comparison to omega-3. Therefore, it is crucial to focus on consuming more omega-3s. Great sources of omega-3s also include seafood, such as salmon, herring, and sardines.
